Multistep linear production machine is 20 per cent more productive June 2006

The latest version of the modular constructed Mikron Multistep XS linear machining system is now some 20 per cent more productive.

The machine is now easier to program and is able to be reset for another component in around 10 minutes. Toolchange chip-to-chip time has been halved to just one sec and the pallet change reduced from 7 to 5 secs.

The workpiece envelope is within a cylinder of 140 mm diameter by 180 mm high with a weight limit of 21 kg.
