BTMA member and sliding-head lathe sub-contractor WML Engineering has purchased a Miyano BND 51SY fixed-head lathe to meet changing requirements of its customer base.
The company gets enquiries for a complete package of components and out of the batch, seven to eight parts will be under 32 mm diameter, and so suited to its sliding-head machines, while two to three parts will be anything up to 50 mm diameter.
Swansea-based WML had continually turned work away but the installation of the 51 mm bar capacity Miyano BND 51SY has now changed that.
