Laser stands out as the profiling technology witnessing the most growth, ahead of plasma and waterjet in terms of both uptake and innovation. Among the many recent advances to catch the eye is the Trumatic L3040 flatbed laser from Trumpf which features a low mass fourth (Xp) axis integrated into the main y-axis bridge. It allows acceleration of the cutting head of up to 15 m/sec2 improving part cycle time and percentage of ‘beam on’ time
