Water jet profiling with intuitive control
February 2010 Email to a friend

Water Jet Sweden, the water jet profiling machine supplier, have developed an intuitive, dedicated control interface for water jet profiling applications.

Water jet profiling with intuitive controlThe PanelOne human machine interface ( HMI), is claimed to be the next generation of water jet profiling machine control, moving on from traditional numerical control inherited from machine tools.

The ergonomically designed operator's panel is free from clutter, the presence of a joystick for X, Y and Z axes operation is the key control. Over-ride, cycle start/stop, NC reset, emergency stop and service key, are the only other items present on the PanelOne hardware.

A touch screen and real-time 3D representation of the job in hand, enables all operator functions to be accessed. These include: job management, grid management, operator messages, machine feedback, auto tool following, online radius compensation, and many more.

The PanelOne will now be used as the standard for all water jet profilers made by Water Jet Sweden, right up to the full five-axis models. This will not only enable Water Jet Sweden to hold down manufacturing costs but will also benefit customers requiring operator training at the factory.

The same factory training course will apply to all, and multiple customers can attend together without the need for arranging special one-off sessions for individual customer's water jet profiling machines. It is because one panel suits all water jet machines that the name 'PanelOne' was chosen.
