MX precision milling and SX collet chucks are now available from Gewefa.
The MX high speed milling chuck claims 100% more gripping torque, compared to a 16º collet system, as a result of its smaller taper angle and a nut-free design, which minimise centrifugal force and vibration at high speeds.
The collet is drawn into the chuck body from the back, providing uniform all-around clamping and ensures fine run out.
The slim design reduces interference issues and enables precision machining into hard to access pockets, particularly when milling.
MX is available in BT 30,40,50; SK40,50: HSK 63A.
The Gewefa SX precision collet chuck also features a smaller taper angle design for maximum grip with better concentricity over conventional collet systems. The flat ground shoulder in the collet nut ensures the hold on the cutter is precisely along the tool holder centreline.
The SX chuck is suitable for light milling, semi-finishing and high speed machining.
SX is available in BT 30,40,50; SK40,50: S20-SX, SX6, SX10, SX16, SX25.
Balanced versions of both tool holders are available for very high speed machining.
