Rosa Ermando has introduced linear motor drive for the table on its series STEEL LINEAR and R46 surface grinding machines.
 During grinding, a traverse speed of around 65 m/min and accelerations of 2 G are feasible, and the thrust of the motor reaches up to 10,000 N.
The machines are controlled through Siemens Sinumerik 840 DiE, and can be supplied with 4th and 5th axis for complex components.
