The Gildemeister 74 mm bar, 600 mm swing over bed, 1,250 turning length NEF 600 complements the 5th generation of the NEF series with a machine for larger components.

Gildemesieter NEF 600 high capacity turning centreCompared to its predecessor, this new development offers added value without extra costs.

The high stability which gives, perfect machining results is based on the solid sturdy cast machine bed, with its traditional four guideways. The two upper guideways are now designed in a 45° arrangement, whereas the bottom guideways for the tailstock and the steady rest are of a vertical design, allowing for optimal swarf evacuation.

Another notable feature of the standard version of the new NEF 600 is its automatically (hydraulically) controlled tailstock, with a 1,150 mm stroke, resulting in a large increase in operating range and flexibility. This is paired with the "best drive technology of this class", giving high torques up to 826, but with precision in the µm range.

The new tool turret offers 12 VDI 40 stations compared to the previous eight, while the user is now able to equip all stations as driven units in conjunction with the C axis, making the NEF 600 suitable for complete component machining – driven tool speed is 4,500 rpm; torque is 21 Nm.
A bar machining package with workpiece catching device is available, as is differential clamping pressure system for sensitive workpieces.
The new DMG ERGOline Control with its large 19" screen and 3D software the shortest possible shopfloor programming times, while also having a stunning, unique appearance and unbeatable performance will always ensure that it is a winner. Siemens 840D solutionline with ShopTurn and the Heidenhain Plus iT with DINPlus or (optional) TurnPlus are available as CNC control options.
