The 600 Group is bringing together three previously separate businesses at its manufacturing site in Heckmondwike, West Yorks.
The three business units are: 600 Centre – previously at Shepshed, Leics; 600 Lathes – the original names for the Heckmondwike facility and where its lathes are designed and some manufactured; and Pratt Burnerd International – previously located at Halifax, and which also incorporates the Crawford Collets activity.
As part of the official statement, the company said: “We believe this will significantly increase the key engineering support skills that are directly available to meet your requirements for all our products and the associated service and support required in the UK marketplace…. We firmly believe that this [combining of three business units] will enable us to further increase the speed and effectiveness of the support we can offer to all our customers.
