Formula One theme event focuses on productivity

Yamazaki Mazak UK is hosting its own Grand Prix event to celebrate another successful season as ‘Official Supplier of CNC Machine Tools’ to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.
The Formula One themed event takes place on the 9, 10 and 11 December at its Worcester headquarters. Visitors have the opportunity to test their nerve, and compare their performance with that of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ world champion driver Lewis Hamilton, in the official Vodafone McLaren Mercedes race simulator. The fastest lap each day wins a unique item of Team merchandise autographed by a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team driver at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Mazak will also be highlighting how UK manufacturers can revolutionise their productivity. Visitors will gain an insight into how they can implement Mazak’s DONE-IN-ONE machining process and make massive productivity improvements.
To demonstrate this there will be a number of innovative machine tools on display, including the Variaxis 630-5X II T, a new dimension in five-axis machining, now available with turning capacity; the Hyper Quadrex 150MSY twin turret, twin spindle multi-function machine tool that can double your productivity; and the Vertical Centre Nexus 700D-II, which combines power and rigidity with high levels of performance and accuracy.
A scheduled ‘Pit Stop’ will provide the opportunity to refuel over lunch, have one-to-one discussions with Mazak’s applications and finance specialists, and also witness first-hand Mazak technology in action during a tour of the award winning, state-of-the-art European manufacturing plant.
