Workholding devices for Wire EDM machines with zero-line tables November 2008

Suitable for fitting to most Wire EDM machines with zero-line tables, these low cost universal rulers (also known as beams, bars or rails) supplement the existing series of components to effectively clamp and support larger workpieces in place during the wire erosion process.

The 3R-209B and 3R-209C Simplex rulers fix directly on to the wire EDM machine table with two M8 screws and can be positioned anywhere within the machine. Adjustments along the rulers can also be made in 50 mm pitch, depending on the size of the workpiece.

The 209B is sized 595 by 60 by 30mm for machine tables with a hole spacing of
300 to 580 mm. The 209C is 860 by 36 by 86 mm with a hole spacing of 565 to 830 mm.

With the aid of the rulers, rectangular or round workpieces, light or heavy, large or small, are located along the machine’s zero line, without risk of collision. They are compatible with the new Simplex rulers.
