Extreme performance soluble metal working fluids range October 2008

Q8 Baroni X range machining fluids are formulating for machining almost any substrate while maintaining a high level of environmental protection.

Comprising six products, the range includes XPM a multi-purpose, long life, semi-synthetic, water-soluble cutting and grinding fluid for CNC operations offering high performance and increased tool life on difficult machining applications, plus very low foam characteristics. XSP, another multi-purpose, long-life, semi-synthetic, water-soluble cutting and grinding fluid, giving high performance on difficult-to-machine alloys. XSP offers ultra low foaming where emulsion is delivered at high pressures.

XAA is a high oil content water-soluble cutting fluid with synthetic esters works well in extreme hard water areas, offering superior lubricity. The high oil content maximises longterm protection to machine tools and a special passivator allows safe machining of the most difficult aerospace alloys.

XLF, a medium oil content, water-soluble cutting fluid incorporates the latest hazard label-free technology and offers high performance levels in both machine ability and fluid life. Free from added boron and amides and other irritants, XLF’s enhanced performance comes from synthetic lubricity additives. These allow the fluid to be used for all heavy-duty applications on difficult-to-machine materials including Inconels, titanium alloys and aluminium alloys.

XCI and Baroni XGP (soft and hard water) are semi synthetic, chlorine and sulphur free water soluble cutting fluids suitable for ferrous and non ferrous materials on modern machining and tuning centres. XCI addresses problems with materials such as cast iron, black bar and flame cut steel which can spoil the appearance of cutting fluids and promote premature degradation by maintaining fluid and machine cleanliness as well as reducing drag out over conventional cutting fluids. XGP is recommended for all machining operations especially those in CNC machines, machining centres, flexible manufacturing and all centralised systems.
