Delcam appointment to spearhead FeatureCAM and PartMaker push

Delcam has appointed John Sare as business development manager for its FeatureCAM and PartMaker ranges of CAM software in Europe.
Mr Sare comes to Delcam from US CADCAM software firm Gibbs and Associates, where he had held the position of distribution manager for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia for the past seven years. He had previously spent three years at Gibbs with responsibility for relations with the company’s strategic machine tool partners.
In addition to his decade of experience in CAM channel development and support gained while working at Gibbs, Mr Sare’s career has given him an extensive background in machining and manufacturing, in particular in the aerospace industry.
Prior to joining Gibbs, he held sales and support positions with machine tool distributors Elliot Matsuura and Toshiba Machine. This followed more than 15 years’ manufacturing experience, mainly in aerospace companies.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Sare to Delcam’s staff,” commented Chris Edwards, Delcam’s European divisional director. “His long experience with Gibbs has given him a detailed knowledge of the CAM industry in the region. In particular, his experience in providing CAM solutions for multi-tasking machine tools will make him a valuable addition to the Delcam team. His many contacts in the industry gained while at Gibbs mean that he is already making a valuable contribution towards growing our sales.”
