Yamazaki Mazak takes to the road for technology tour 11/09/2008

Yamazaki Mazak is taking to the road, visiting a number of locations in the South of England during September to promote its range of high technology machine tools.

The tour, which starts in Plymouth on Monday, 15 September, before visiting Guildford (Tuesday 16), Maidstone (Wednesday 17), Basildon (Thursday 18) and finishing the week in High Wycombe (Friday 19), will bring the world of Yamazaki Mazak to the doorstep of many of its customers.

“While anybody is welcome to visit our European Headquarters and manufacturing facility in Worcester, we appreciate that it is often difficult to get time away from the factory floor to make this possible,” says Chris Goodall, Yamazaki Mazak’s regional sales manager – UK South. “Therefore, this truck tour will provide the perfect opportunity for manufacturing companies to get to see what Yamazaki Mazak can do to improve their productivity for a surprisingly modest investment.”

Visitors will discover the benefits that Mazak delivers, with practical advice backed up by the company’s 25 years of experience supporting customers manufacturing products as diverse as jewellery and jet engines.

On display will be information on some of the most advanced metalcutting technology, including the latest Done-in-One machine tools, such as the Integrex and Variaxis ranges, and details of the ongoing investment in the European Manufacturing Plant at Worcester.

Other information available ‘on-board’ will include details of Mazak’s Total Support “Mazacare” packages. These ensure that service and spares support is available 365 days of the year, with parts shipped within 24 hours. Specialists will also be on hand to offer advice on a variety of finance packages available. These can be linked in to various special offers that are being launched to coincide with the truck tour.

As Official Supplier of CNC Machine Tools to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Mazak will also be holding free-to-enter competitions throughout the five-day truck tour, with winners taking away a selection of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes merchandise.
