BevelJet’s moveable axle facilitates weld preparation options in up to five axes September 2008

Much like the human wrist, the new BevelJet 5-axis cutting head, features a moveable axle which facilitates a ±46° tilting motion in all directions with full TCP (tool centre point) control. This that in addition to straight edge, bevel edge cutting is introduced with the same head, thereby facilitating weld preparation in any of the standard Y,K,V and X bevel configurations.

BevelJet can also precision cut fully-countersunk circular holes around their full 360° circumference in thick stainless steel.

BevelJet was developed for Water Jet Sweden’s (WJS) new CNC 5-axis machines, within the advanced IGEMS R7 programs that are specially designed for 5-axis sheet metal preparation work with the TAC (taper angle control) program controlled from the CAM/material module. However, BevelJet can be fitted to any WJS machine.
