VCE Pro-X three-axis vertical machining centres deliver precision May 2008

High-performance, competitively-priced Swiss-built 3-axis vertical machining centres from GF AgieCharmilles are aimed at precision tool and mould-makers, and precision component manufacturers.
The VCE 800 Pro-X and VCE 1000 Pro-X, described as robust, reliable, efficient and ergonomic are constructed from high grade cast iron for rigidity and stability even under full load or continuous operation. Ergonomic design makes loading/unloading of heavier workpieces easier, and the machines’ large windows (on the sliding doors and on both sides of the machines), allow unrestricted visibility of job set-ups and machining operations.

VCE Pro-X machines are equipped with high performance, high precision in-line motor spindles (14.75 kW 16,000 rpm BT 40). Providing manufacturing flexibility, they are equally adept at handling heavy duty milling operations, where the emphasis is on high accuracy volumetric removal, as they are on performing high speed fine finishing and intricate detail machining.
