Get the right chuck jaw for the job 29/08/2008

The right jaws for the job, that’s the theme throughout the new Chuck Jaw catalogue now available from Thame Workholding.

The specialist designer, manufacturer and supplier of workholding equipment has added new ranges and sizes of Soft and Hard Jaws covering chucks from all over the world.

Of particular interest are the patented Inogrip Jaws which secure the workpiece by locking a precise tooth form into pre-stamped defined indentations on the workpiece. This gives an exceptionally secure grip on only 6 mm of material with less clamping distortion.

Thame’s Quick Jaw Change System offers great savings on downtime when changing jaws and the Multi-Point Rocker Jaws will improve out of roundness problems on thin walled workpieces.

As well as jaws the catalogue details T-Nuts and the Jaw Boring Tool, Trueborer.

Containing technical data and drawings to illustrate each jaw type, the catalogue is easy to use, assisting in quick identification of the correct chuck jaws for each chuck and application.
