Engineering software partnerships agreed - quotes and CAD

Engineering software supplier Scotcam has agreed two new engineering software partnerships.
The first is with C I M Solutions, developer of Quotecam estimating software and the second with Italian software developer Progesoft for its ProgeCAD CADsystem.
Unlike other estimating systems, QuoteCam goes much deeper than simply calculating a cycle time. For example, it is possible to use QuoteCam to easily establish a machine shop’s overhead burden rate or to calculate exactly what a machine tool really does cost to own and operate.
And with true cost of production available, Batch Analyser can then add margins and refine pricing with "what if" scenarios such as changing batch sizes and sub-contract costs to see how much profit changes with each change.
ProgeCAD is compatible with AutoCAD and supports AutoCAD DWG files from the version 2.5 to 2008 at a fraction of the cost.
