New roll feed system ensures more dynamic and flexible manufacturing

The Schuler Power Feed is designed for highly dynamic presses – such as Schuler’s servo press range – and delivers an accuracy of ± 0.05 mm even over longer periods. In addition, the coating of the rollers has been optimised to ensure that high accelerations can be effectively transferred to the material. The system is available in three transport capacities: ‘L’ for up to 100 kg of movable mass, ‘M’ for up to 180 kg of movable mass and ‘H’ for up to 300 kg of movable mass.
To ensure that the system can be easily implemented into new and existing lines, it has been designed with flexibility in mind and users can also easily upgrade system performance. For example a ‘Basic Performance’ system, offering up to 30 m/sec2, can subsequently have a more powerful package retrofitted
Upgrade packs include the ‘HP’ with around 30 per cent more performance) and the ‘EHP’ with approx. 60 per cent more performance. The same applies to the dimensions of the roll feed system. Due to its modular design, even maximum coil width can be subsequently adapted to customer needs at any time.
