New man to head up UK MAG IAS strategy 22/08/2008
 
The new MAG Industrial Automation Systems organisation structure in the UK will be overseen by John Boyd (pictured), who has over 30 years’ experience in the machine tool industry.

Manufacturing of the Cincinnati Machine product range has been moved to MAG facilities in the USA and Germany. The Birmingham-based operation will now focus its attention on “delivering customer service excellence” to its large UK customer base.

This range of services include parts and service packages, service contracts, retrofits and rebuilds, productivity enhancements, consumables and tooling as well as entire engineering solutions.

The UK customer base for all MAG brands, including Boehringer, Cincinnati, Cross Hueller, Ex-Cell-O, Lamb, Fadal, +FMS+, Giddings & Lewis, Hessapp, Hueller Hille and Witzig+Frank, will be supported from the Birmingham facility.

With almost 80 employees operating from the UK to support the customer services business, MAG Industrial Automation Systems will beb backed by the expertise and support of nine manufacturing plants and additional service centres across Europe.
