Matchmaker M/C has been appointed sole UK agent and Ireland agent for Yasda super-high precision CNC jig borers and multi-axis machining centres.
The Leatherhead-based machine tool supplier can now offer a comprehensive range or production solutions from simple cost-effective turning and milling machines, multi-axis mid-range products, and multi-pallet high-productivity horizontal machining centres through to sub-micron accuracy manufacturing with the new Yasda agency.
“It is very rare for us to take on a new agency, and it isn’t something that we do lightly, but I am delighted that Yasda has offered us the opportunity of being its representative,” said Colin Donhue, director of Matchmaker M/C. “Yasda machines are widely regarded as being the most accurate in the world, not least by the world’s leading machine tool manufacturers, the majority of whom use Yasda machines in their own facilities.”
Yasda machines are capable of cutting extremely hard materials – up to 65 Rockwell C – which drastically reduces the time taken to manufacture moulds, for example.
The advantages of this hard metal machining capability are quite significant when compared to spark erosion. The part can be finished in one operation with endmills to produce an extremely high quality polished surface that requires no further hand finishing.
