Kennametal acquires tool management software specialist 28/07/2008

Kennametal has acquired the business and assets of ISIS Informatics Limited (ISIS), located in Godalming, Surrey.

ISIS was founded in 1986, is focused on software for tool management solutions for the metalcutting industry and has small and large multi-user systems in use across the globe. ISIS employs five people and has agents and partners around the world.

“This agreement is in alignment with Kennametal’s comprehensive Services Business strategy,” commented Dr Kemal Yegenoglu, president Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Kennametal already holds 20 per cent of ISIS’ shares. To become the major owner will allow Kennametal to take advantage of new market opportunities in an effective way,” he concluded.
