Coloured identification system for thick turret EasyView Slug Free dies June 2008

The new EasyView Slug Free design, allows the user to assign visual identification to the tool to signify a specific tool feature by means of a coloured O-ring. Features that could usefully be signalled include material type the tool is to punch, machine the tool is to be used on, die clearance, etc.

The user installs the appropriate O-ring identifier in the special grove on the outside diameter of the die. This simple system speeds up tool selection and set-up in keeping with maximally efficient, lean visual tool management processes.

Mate’s EasyView Slug Free dies are available as an option for thick turret 0.5 in A through 4.5 in E station dies. The coloured identification rings are available separately in red, green, yellow, white and black for each thick turret station.
