Spark erosion machine combines capability with low running costs June 2008

AgieCharmilles’ Form 20 machines are equipped with full C-axis capability (integrated into the quill of the Z-axis), which allows users to simultaneously machine components using four axes. Components exhibiting difficult-to-machine characteristics like curved recesses and undercuts can be machined reliably and to high precision and finish.

The machine has X, Y, Z travels of 350 by 250 by 250 mm (positioning resolution 0.5 micron), and can machine workpieces with dimensions up to 955 mm (width) by 540 mm (depth) by 350mm (height).

An intuitive icon interface allows even less experienced operators to input machining data and component requirements.
