Hydraulic tool holders for high speed and high precision machining June 2008

The hydraulic tool holding range from Dellner Tools is rated to G2.5 at 15,000 rpm as standard, with tighter balanced performance available on request. The balance, and the TIR (total indicated run-out) of less than 3 micron achieved, makes the range ideal from demanding sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, die and mould and toolmaking; in fact anywhere where tool rigidity during high speed cutting is critical to the accuracy of the finished part.

Smooth cylindrical shanks up to 32 mm diameter and Weldon shanks up to 20 mm diameter can be clamped directly in the holder. Standard clamping tool shank diameters are 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 32 mm, with metric and imperial intermediate sleeves available to hold tool shanks between 3 and 25 mm diameter.
