Personal best campaign targets EDM users 29/05/2008

EDM and milling machine tool specialist GF AgieCharmilles has launched a new marketing campaign aimed at EDM users, including precision toolmakers and precision component manufacturers.

The campaign asks users to examine the performance they currently get from their existing technology in terms of accuracy, repeatability, surface finish, cutting speeds/removal rates and consumable cost, and to compare this performance against that of the new GF AgieCharmilles EDM machines that are now on the market.

“EDM practitioners know that to compete in today's global markets they have to be able to manufacture complex high-precision components faster, better and cheaper. Often this can be a problem if their EDM machines are old or have not been designed, in the first place, to meet these new challenges,” said Steve Sylvester, managing director at GF AgieCharmilles.

“Our campaign helps EDM users identify critical success factors and highlights the significant technology developments that have taken place over recent years and the new performance levels our new EDM machines are delivering.

“Quite simply, we want EDM users to be able to raise their game and to be able to compete more effectively. Our EDM technology has been designed to help them do just that.''

The 'Ready to beat your personal best' GF AgieCharmilles EDM campaign is being launched this month. Keep your eye on your physical and virtual mailboxes.
