New balancing service centre opens for business 22/05/2008

Balancing and diagnostics technology specialist Schenck has accredited and certified Luton-based AEM Ltd to provide specialist contract balancing services using the latest Schenck balancing technology.

Based on the latest generation of Schenck Pasio machines, the Schenck Balancing Centre at AEM offers the expertise and skills for balancing all types and sizes of rotor up to 50 kg mass, 1200 mm length and 600 mm diameter on the Schenck Pasio 50 balancing machine with CAB920 computer measuring unit.

"There is a great demand for contract balancing services across a wide range of engineering industries - whether it is for R&D, prototype design, serial production and quality control or service and maintenance," said Roy Fulton, managing director at Schenck Ltd, based in Warwick. "Accurate balancing is vital to improve performance, productivity, safety and reliability, but most companies do not have the technology or in house skills to carry out the work. That is where AEM and our other contract balancing centres can help."
