Alligator circular saws thrive on billet May 2008

Alligator CS circular carbide saws for cutting billets and foundry applications are fully automatic, deliver high cutting quality and, it is claimed a level of productivity that can outperform three band saws. The Alligator CS 100 can cut through 90 mm diameter bar in little over 10 seconds.

Productivity is attributed to a sawing head chassis manufactured from high strength cast iron which permits low vibration cutting, exceptional surface finishes an accuracy of 0.05mm. This allows the end user to reduce the secondary processing operations and reduce material costs.

A combination of the ballscrew drive, hydraulic material gripper and servo drive that permits the 0.05mm tolerance levels. Variable speeds simplify the linkage with subsequent production processes whilst cutting programmes permit the variable feed of semi finished parts, bale loaders, diagonal or chain magazines for resolving short non-productive times.

The Alligator CS range of Circular Saws is offered in four size ranges, the CS-65, CS-85, CS-100 and CS-130 that can accommodate round bar in diameter sizes from 65, 85 , 100 and 130 mm respectively.
