MACH 2008 visitor numbers 21 per cent up 01/05/2008

MACH 2008 saw approximately 21 per cent more visitors than the 2006 event - a welcome sign for the nearly 500 companies who exhibited at the show.

Over 27,000* people came through the doors during the week-long show (May 21-25) organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA). Despite media talk of an economic downturn and the credit crunch, MACH 2008 bucked the trend with visitors turning out in their thousands to see the latest innovations in manufacturing technology at the UK’s premier show for the sector.

In addition, there have been some massive orders at the show – one exhibitor took an order for £10 million and there were plenty of examples of large orders throughout the week.

* Full visitor numbers will be released after the show - the figures posted are unaudited and will be adjusted slightly on the final count.
