Foundation Plates grid locates wide variety of workholders and fixtures

Manufactured from up to 35 mm precision ground cast iron material, Chick workholding Foundation Plates incorporate a 50 mm grid of bushed and tapped holes for quickly and accurately locating a wide variety of third party workholding or fixturing equipment, as well as Chick’s modular Qwik-Lok, Multi-Lok and indexing systems.
The alphanumeric labelling system not only simplifies the design, cataloguing and utilisation of fixtures, but also combines fast and repeatable set-ups with maximum application flexibility.
Each mounting hole carries a 12 mm diameter hardened bush to ensure accurate equipment location and an M12 thread for precise bolt down. Furthermore, the plates are supplied with patented sealing plugs to prevent the build-up of swarf.
Tailored to fit a customer’s particular machine and/or application to maximise available work envelopes, Foundation Plates are supplied complete with the necessary mounting hardware.
