High ester lubricant delivers high oil machining performance April 2008

The high ester lubricant content of TRIM® SC609 allows machining performance and tool life similar to that of high oil emulsions. Additionally, it has the wetting and cooling characteristics of a premium synthetic for superior grinding results. As an extremely fine emulsion, it reduces carry-off to ensure a lower total operating cost.

A general purpose machining coolant for ferrous and non-ferrous materials, SC609 is particularly effective in the machining and grinding of cast iron, steel and stainless steel. Also, thanks to the high level of ester lubricants, the product doesn’t stain aluminium or yellow metals.

SC609 is a highly versatile product that works well in a wide range of operations including grinding, milling, turning, drilling and tapping. It has been formulated for maximum stability against bacteria or fungus and is extremely hard water tolerant. Superior corrosion prevention is assured thanks to fast wetting that quickly and effectively coats the workpiece and chips.

This new semi synthetic contains no DEA, boron, chlorine, sulphur EP, nitrites or phenolic compounds. It is easily recycled or disposed of without special handling or equipment.
