Secure continuous and reliable drilling performance in heat resistant super alloys

The CoroDrill Delta-C R846 is suitable for heat resistant super alloys in aerospace applications, such as the production of gas turbine casings. It is designed for continuous and reliable production of holes in demanding HRSA materials that place heavy demands on the cutting edge.

Geometry is optimised for maximum efficiency in repeated short hole drilling. The new cutting edge has a more consistent curve for added strength in outer corners where cutting forces can be at its highest in demanding applications. This design distributes the cutting forces evenly over the cutting edge – giving an even wear without sudden changes.

With the CoroDrill Delta-CR846 the cutting action is improved, giving a secure and longer tool life for reliability from the first to the last hole on expensive components. The deep flute shape on the drill body optimises chip removal from the cutting zone, keeping the drill free from obstructions that could damage the integrity of the component’s surface. The result is a continuous, precise cutting action that can be repeated with the same close tolerances hole after hole.

The standard CoroDrill Delta-C range covers tools for 3 to 12 mm diameter, with a length of 3 – 5XD.
