US-headquartered Mayfran International has acquired Hardman Maintenance Engineering, Bolton.

Hardman Maintenance Engineering has particular product expertise in the design and deployment of vacuum swarf handling systems, especially for machining operations in aerospace environments.

It will be integrated with the existing Mayfran operations in the UK, at Bolton near Manchester, where it will acts as competence centre ‘vacuum swarf handling technology’ for the entire group. The new facility will be opened 15 April.

The acquisition provides Mayfran International with both new product capabilities and better resources to service its customers in the UK.

Mayfran International is a globally active manufacturer of chip and shaving conveyors as well as systems for the treatment of chips/shavings and cooling lubricants in the metal treatment industry. The group employs about 900 people worldwide and 300 employees in Europe.
