Fully integrated desk top label marking system March 2008

Rofin-Baasel’s compact 0.3 m2 footprint desk top label marking system provides fast and efficient label production from a fully integrated laser class 1 system.

Rofin’s tried and tested VisualLaserMarker (VLM) software, accessed using the built in touch screen, provides an intuitive and easy method of defining the label contents. Labels can include alphanumeric (true type fonts), DXF and BMP graphics, barcodes and 2D matrix codes. The system is operated using the Rofin Control Unit (RCU), which is also accessed using the touch screen

The unit accepts rolls of up to 300 mm diameter with widths of up to 120 mm and will produce high quality marking on acrylate and PVC foil types. Foils between 0.1 and 0.25 mm in thickness can be processed. The marking field is 108 by 172 mm with a focal length of 254 mm, allowing many different label types and sizes to be produced.

The system is also able to ‘Kiss Cut’ the label profile which allows the production of almost any conceivable label shape. Correct label feed is ensured thanks to a series of sensors that detect the beginning and the end of each label. Designed as aclass 1 laser safety system LabelMarker Compact does not require any additional safety considerations to be taken into account when using this system in the production environment.
