Soft sure clamping for delicate workpieces February 2008

Schunk’s Quentes fibreglass jaws provide a powerful hold with maximum protection of an already finished machined surface.

The low weight of the assembly of aluminium support jaws combined with the fibreglass strengthened plastic Quentes top jaws ensures a lightweight construction with low centrifugal forces during turning operations - an ideal solution for the high speed finish machining of delicate components.

The Quentes fibreglass jaws can be delivered for power chucks and quick change chucks in 160 to 315 mm chuck sizes. As the elements of the Quentes are replaceable, the chuck solution becomes very economical.
