Faro implements Tebis software for FaroArm November 2007

Faro now offers a link to Tebis software for the FaroArm. Mr Kai Gärtling, responsible for the Tebis project, explains: "Customers have repeatedly expressed the need to link the FaroArm to the Tebis software which enables the user to transfer the scan data of the tools directly into the tool co-ordinate system for further processing without using a third-party software.

Mr Gärtling adds: “Tebis RSC is regarded as one of the best reverse engineering packages for designed surfaces on the market. Linking this technology to the flexible scanning system of the FaroArm provides an extremely quick and accurate solution if surfaces are missing or current data is not available. This is applicable for repairs in tool manufacturing as well as for the production of all kinds of duplicates.”

Digitising of 3D objects and surface creation are very easy with Tebis: Connect Faro Laser ScanArm to Tebis, calibrate probe and scanner – and start scanning the object. Afterwards the scan data is edited in Tebis and built with RSC surfaces.
