Two new agencies for Ward Hi-Tech

Ward Hi-Tech has taken on the UK agency for Famup high speed travelling column vertical machining centres, and also for HNK VTLs and horizontal borers.

The Famup 'MMV Linear' travelling column models feature x-axis travels of 1600 mm and 2000 mm, high speed spindles from 12,000 rpm to 30,000 rpm and linear axis motors giving 60 m/min rapid traverse rates together with high levels of accuracy and repeatability. Optional control systems including Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens and the machines can be configured to accommodate long work pieces or a pendulum load arrangement can be utilised.

The Famup Linearmill 5-axis range includes both high performance full 5-axis simultaneous and well priced 3+2 axis models. With table sizes of 600 by 600 mm, 60 m/min rapid traverse rates and high speed ATC, the products share with the MMV ranges a rigid construction and state-of-the-art linear drives.

Famup is part of the expanding EMCO GROUP of machine tool companies, have a manufacturing plant close to Venice, from where around 225 machines per year are produced.

HNK vertical lathes have capacities beginning at 1 m chuck dia. and extend to 6 m table size and can include, ATC’s, auto chuck changers and auto loading.

The HNK HB series CNC horizontal boring mills have x-axis travels up to 4,000 mm, while the HFB fixed table CNC floor borer range is designed for heavy duty machining of extremely large work pieces up to 15,000 mm in the x-axis.
